This morning started off by waking up to a very cranky snotty, runny nose little boy! My little LB did not feel good.
The original plan was to go for a run tonight when Lew got home. (We fixed the tires on the jogging stroller and were ready to check it out.) Sadly, the day ended at the Doctors office so no run happened today. Tomorrow we will be doing double duty at the gym. Cardio Strength Interval class (tomorrow is Bosu day) and then I hope to accomplish at least two miles on the treadmill. I figure a short run after my class would be better than no run at all.
Back to today, this morning started off with of course, a smoothie! However, I forgot to freeze my bananas last night so I tried a fresh banana and ice. Not my fave! I am so picky. I either want my vanilla strawberry banana smoothie or my chocolate banana peanut butter smoothie. I don’t do to well with anything else.
Today’s smoothie was overflowing!
After breakfast instead of leaving for the Y both babies went back to sleep. So, with the unusual morning peace and quiet I learned how to use Windows Live Writer, which makes blogging even easier! I also added a new page to the blog so you can learn about my Weight Loss Journey. The rest of my day was pretty crazy, LB was very upset most of the day so I did a lot of feeding and holding my sweet boy. Luckily Daisy is such a low key baby and doesn’t get jealous for the most part. She is such a good sister.
My lunch was leftovers from last night small group. There is something about leftover grilled chicken makes me want to eat a sandwich. So that is exactly what I did. I also had left over veggies topped with a little honey mustard. (The picture looks like all potatoes but I promise there are bell peppers and mushrooms under there.)
My sandwich was topped with avocado and spicy mustard.
After a long afternoon I finally called the pediatrician because I had one of those mom feelings that something was not right. Our pediatricians office stays open late so we got to see the doctor at 6:00 tonight. It turns out he just has a cold. This of course took up my run time but sometimes (especially when you have two babies) other things come first and I have learned to just live with these changes. The good thing about going into town to see the doctor is we got to have a yummy dinner out.
We dined at a “new to us” pizza place called Luke’s. (Which just makes me think of Luke’s Diner from Gilmore Girls, my all time favorite show!) Lew and I shared the margherita pizza with added banana peppers.
We then had to stop by the dairy bar. When the babies cry I need ice cream! And there was lots of crying today!
My favorite “dipped cone in a cup” (minus the actual cone). I love that hard chocolate! This was very yummy! It also helped calm me while the babies cried the whole way home. I am very thankful they are both asleep in there beds at the moment and I pray this lasts the rest of the night.
Last but not least, I joined twitter today. Well actually I had a twitter account that I never used so I am updating it for the blog. My new username is ashandlewplus2 you can also find me using my email ashleekizer@gmail.com
Have a good night!
