Saturday Lew and I are planning on going for a pre half marathon trial run. For my run I wanted to pick out my race outfit to give it a try. The problem was I needed to pick up a few things to help out my “race wardrobe”. So I made a trip to Hibbett Sports. I normally shop for workout clothes at Target but our closest Target is 45 minutes away
To try to avoid spending a ton of money I went to the clearance aisle. The problem with the clearance aisle is that it is all of the ugly color stuff! So here is what I left with…
- Grey compression shorts
- black shorts (already had in my closet)
- neon green under armor hot gear tank
- yellow sports bra
This is going to look lovely with pink new balance shoes!
What is important is that I will be comfortable!
This afternoon I had a Green Monster smoothie for a snack. Around 3:30 I was starving so I thought I should have some protein after my all veggie lunch.
In my smoothie:
- 1 cup skim milk
- 1 scoop vanilla whey protein powder
- large handful spinach
- small spoonful of Greek yogurt
- small spoonful peanut butter
I loved this smoothie! It really filled me up which was what I was going for. Then Lew called and I was able to meet up with him for dinner. I wasn’t planning on having dinner out and that is why I had the smoothie but long story short, we ate dinner at a local Italian place that we had a gift card for.
I was still full from my smoothie so I we shared some stuff and I picked around.

Tour of Italy: Lasagna, Eggplant parmesan with spaghetti, cheese manicotti
I know this looks like a big plate of cheese and sauce!
I ate half of the eggplant parmesan and half of a roll of manicotti. This was not the greatest in the world and there was no way Lew and I could eat all of this food! However, it was nice to get to see each other for dinner on his on call night.
Now I am going to start Grey’s Anatomy on the DVR!
