This morning has been pretty great. Minus the rain…I love rain but I had enough of it yesterday.
This morning we woke up early so Lew and I could attend our second spin class! I think I am addicted!
I tried something different with my food routine this morning. I am trying to get things figured out for pre and post workout food. I think today’s routine is working out well.
On the way out the door I ate a piece of German Dark Wheat bread topped with peanut butter with a glass of skim milk.
After spin class we were going to take the Cardio/Strength Interval class but when I went to check it out I saw it was the instructor that does step for 40 of the 50 minute class. I am not a fan of step so we decided we would skip that.
After the workout I made a smoothie! With pumpkin! I am now freezing but this awesome smoothie was worth it!
Green Monster with Pumpkin
This recipe makes two large smoothies.
- 2 cups skim milk
- 2 scoops of vanilla whey protein powder
- 2 frozen bananas
- large handful of ice
- spoonful peanut butter
- spoonful of Greek yogurt
- spoonful of Pumpkin
- Cinnamon and nutmeg to taste
- large handful of spinach
Put in blender and blend away!
I am still starving and am thinking about making chicken enchiladas for lunch!
