I really love to grocery shop! Today a very sweet lady from one of our churches watched LB and Daisy so I could go grocery shopping. I love to buy groceries by myself. There is something about the planning and preparing and looking at all the food that I really enjoy. Even though it was raining and terrible weather to go to the store it was a necessity because we were seriously out of food! Do you ever get to that point where you have food in your house but there is nothing “to eat”. That is how we were. My pantry and fridge looked full but there was nothing to make a meal. I am now happy to say I have enough food to have all meals at home until we leave next week for San Francisco. (Where I plan to have the best food of my life at the Foodbuzz Festival!)
Over the last 8 months I have done most of my grocery shopping at Ingles because I love their effort to provide so many organic and all natural options. However, I have noticed that when I shop there I spend way too much money. So, my last two trips I have shopped at Wal-Mart and have made extra effort to read labels and know what I am purchasing. I have successfully spent less money and am not sacrificing the quality of food. Even though I really don’t like Wal-Mart because it is so big and just has so much I am learning the best times to go and had a great time today.
Anyway…tonight I purchased this California Pizza Kitchen frozen pizza…
This was a traditional White pizza and was awesome! The ingredient list wasn’t too shabby and made for a great quick meal.

I did remember my coupons! I was so proud of myself because as you know I normally forget them. Lew always says he doesn’t mind me taking my time but I always feel like he is rushing me.
I do not like grocery shopping at all!!! When we lived in Memphis we would shop for a month at a time- that is how much I did not like it- lol! Thank goodness- I can go next door to eat now.
Clint an I go shopping together sometimes, but now he goes for us mostly. We love the California pizzas- and have had the one you had tonight- very good- they have a sicilian (sp?) one that is great too. Clint usually buys Digorno pizzas. They are good as well. Sure miss ya’ll already! Hope everyone is feeling better. Kizer went back to school today and I went back to work.
We miss you too! I am glad you are feeling better! I thought I was getting it earlier but it was a false alarm. I took a nap and felt fine when I woke up.
I am a huge fan of healthy thin crust frozen pizzas. I love Kashi brand pizzas…especially the roasted veggie version. At HEB they are $5 and make at least 2 meals for me. At other stores they can be more expensive so I make sure to buy them there.
I also love California Pizza Kitchen pizzas because the thin crust ones are yummy and low in calories. Last night I had the fire roasted veggie and it was awesome. My other favorite of that brand is spinach artichoke. This brand is more consistently cheap in our grocery stores.

I had a coupon for the California Pizza Kitchen ones and got them for $3.28. You can’t beat dinner for two for less than $4.00!
