Hello Friends!
I hope you all have had a wonderful weekend! Normally my weekend ends on Saturday but this weekend I have a shopping trip to look forward to tomorrow. Every year my mom, sister, aunt, mamaw and I go Christmas shopping together. Well, this year I have no free Saturdays to go so mom, Kirby and I are going for a few hours tomorrow and I am very excited. Anyway, enough about tomorrow, let me tell you about yesterday and today.
Last night Lew, LB, Daisy, Kirby (my sis) and I went to my Aunt and Uncle’s to have an early Christmas dinner with my dad’s family. We decided that a Mexican themed dinner would be good.
On the menu:
- taco soup
- enchiladas
- chicken dip
- layered bean dip
- sausage/cream cheese/rotel dip
- lots of dessert
I contributed the bean dip and sausage c ream cheese dip. Both very simple but very good.
For the bean dip I just layered beans (seasoned with a taco seasoning packet) sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomato. It was pretty but in our family it is hard to get a picture of food without someone’s hand in the way
Sausage Cream Cheese Rotel dip
This is super simple. I used turkey sausage, reduced fat cream cheese (2 blocks) and 2 cans of rotel. Brown sausage in skillet. Add Cream cheese and rotel (drained) cook until melted. It is best to serve in a crock pot to keep warm.
The babies had so much fun playing with family they don’t see very often.
LB getting a piggy back ride from daddy.
Daisy loves hitting LB in the head. He is not a big fan
This morning we headed over to mom and Tim’s church to take some family photos for their Christmas card. After posing the babies wanted to play with the poinsettias.
After our photo shoot we had a quick lunch and Lew and I left the babies with mimi, poppy and aunt Kirby to go to Ambra’s wedding!
Lew and I were married in December and I absolutely love Christmas weddings! This was a beautiful wedding and I am so happy we were able to attend!
Ambra made a beautiful bride and her and Adam make a beautiful couple!
Congratulations Adam and Ambra!

I grew up with Adam! Mom was going to go but was doing too much today! Such a beautiful wedding!
What a gorgeous, seasonal wedding. Congrats and best wishes to the Newlyweds. And absolutely love the holiday photo shoot with the munchkins. So cute.

Thanks for sharing these special photos, Ashlee and Lew. Ashlee, you looked absolutely beautiful — radiant, in fact — for your friend’s wedding. Lew, you’re a “natural” when it comes to the “My daddy-gives-the-best-piggy-back-rides” role! Daisy and LB certainly must love it, and we can almost hear them squeal with laughter! Daisy and LB, you two could be poster babies! Ummmm, the food looks good, and thanks for the recipe! We love the picture of the bread and cup – did you shoot that one, Lew? How’d your shopping trip go, Ashlee? and how’d the trip home go for y’all?
It’s snowing here!!! Love to you,
Les and Kay
