After yesterday’s day on the mountain I woke up feeling pretty exhausted and super sore so I decided to take advantage of my day off remaining on my lift pass.
Instead of keeping on with the same breakfast routine we have done all week we tried out the Dubh Linn Gate Pub for breakfast. This place had an awesome breakfast. So good I think we are going back for a late lunch in a couple hours. Lew and I split an omelet with spinach, mushrooms and feta. They were so nice to split the meal for us and brought everything on two separate plates. I love that because it makes sharing a lot easier. The omelet was so good. I am not really a fan of eggs for breakfast but I really enjoyed this omelet. It was not greasy which I really appreciate. The omelet was served with hashbrowns and toast.
I also enjoyed the peanut butter and honey packets they offered on the table. It went perfectly with my toast.
For dinner last night we visited Teppan Village, a Japanese restaurant inside Whistler Village. Lew and I ate at Japanese steakhouses at least once a week when we lived in Chattanooga. At our favorite restaurant we could eat the vegetarian meal for around 7 dollars a piece. Where we live now there is not a Japanese restaurant close by so when we travel we are always on the lookout. Of course last night we did not get out for only $14.00 but we did have a great meal.
We ordered tasting menu which included a sampling of chicken, steak, shrimp, scallops, salmon, and grilled veggies. Here are the photos from the evening.
We had a fun night last night. I enjoyed trying a little of everything. Today is mine and Lew’s 3rd anniversary! We have a special dinner planned at one of Whistler’s best restaurants. I will be back tonight or tomorrow with the details.
