Ash & Lew Plus 2 Rotating Images

December 22nd, 2010:

It’s Almost Here

This year Christmas is going to be very different. This is the first year that I will not be at home on Christmas. The first year in my life I will not see my mom or sister on Christmas! It is also the first year that Lew will not see his family at all. Since we have been together we have spent Christmas morning at my mom’s house and then drove to his family’s house Christmas evening. Since Christmas is on a Saturday and Lew is a pastor it is not going to work out for us to see our families on Friday or Saturday so we are waiting to leave town until Sunday. This year our Christmas morning will be spent with my dad and Lew’s uncle who lives about 30 minutes from us. I am planning to make a big breakfast and hope to make the best of a new experience.

To help me get in the mood a little more I thought I would share some pictures of the Christmas fun around our house.

Here are some Santa hat pictures of the babies. These are the ones that did not make the Christmas card. I will post the Christmas card pictures soon!

Merry Christmas!

Tired…

I think I am suffering from serious jetlag. When my babies start waking up around 6:30 or 7:00 I cannot seem to wake up! My body is in serious recovery mode. Between the 3 hour time difference, all the food I ate and the 4 days of snowboarding my body is telling me to slow down! When I woke up this morning EVERYTHING hurt! I could feel my left knee starting to flare back up after running the last two days so I thought I would take a break. I am also having a little tendonitis issue in my right elbow so I am not able to lift weights, do push ups, planks or anything else like that so I decided to rest. It felt really good!

I woke up this morning not wanting anything we had to eat at the house. All I wanted was eggs and biscuits. If you know me very well you know that I rarely eat anything other than oatmeal, a smoothie or cereal for breakfast. I think all the sweets we have been eating lately has left me wanting something different. So my sweet husband went to Critters (yes, the restaurant is called Critters) and brought home a bacon, egg and cheese sandwich. I would normally never eat this but I definitely enjoyed it this morning.

Yum! Normal breakfast eating will resume tomorrow…

We had a few errands to run this morning and made a stop at Sam’s. We have a serious thing for Sam’s. We go to much and spend too much money but we love it. Today they had Chobani yogurt. Chobani is my favorite Greek yogurt but I normally choose not to buy it because it is way too expensive. At Sam’s I got 12 servings for less than $12.00! I was very excited about that.

For lunch I had a a Southwest Grilled Chicken Salad from McDonalds and then came home and enjoyed a little Peppermint Stick ice cream.

And yes, I ate my ice cream with a baby spoon. It makes it last longer Smile
