Today I have a headache that I can’t seem to kick. Hopefully by the end of the day it will be gone. My day started off with making breakfast for Lew, oatmeal for me, and scrambled eggs for LB and Daisy. After breakfast I did laundry, cleaned the kitchen and packed the diaper bag and our gym bags we headed out the door for our workout and parent/tot swim class.
Last week was our last week of the Fit Bloggers Charity Challenge. We finished 6 weeks of workouts and I am so proud of us! Lew lost about 15 pounds and I lost 5. The greatest part is all the muscle tone I have gained. Before starting the challenge I had fallen off my strength training routine and I was only doing strength workouts once a week with my trainer, Matthew,. I am so proud of myself and am hoping to keep up the routine. My goal is going to be to do 3-4 days of strength and cardio and 1 day of cardio only. Today I warmed up by running on the .6 of a mile on the treadmill. We then did a 30 minute leg workout and I finished by running another .6 of a mile on the treadmill.
For today’s lunch I made an AWESOME salad! Lew literally licked his bowl clean.
In the mix:
- Organic spring mix
- green bell pepper
- blue cheese crumbles
- cheddar cheese
- crushed tortilla chips
- light sour cream
- 1/2 last nights left over chicken breast
Since lunch I have made Lew some egg and olive, cleaned the kitchen, watched last nights episode of Castle, and fought with the babies for 2 hours to take a nap! Now, I am praying that they will sleep for a little while so I can rest my eyes and pray my headache will go away.
I am also hoping an early evening walk will be in our future. If so I will have pictures of the babies in their jogging stroller for their first walk of 2011!
