Good Evening! I hope you have all had as beautiful of a day as we have had here! My day started the same as always. My breakfast may or may not have included one of those chocolate muffins melted with cream of wheat on top of peanut butter. Yes, it was as heavenly as it sounds.
At the Y I did a 45 minute cardio workout that included running 2 miles on the treadmill and then finished up my time doing an interval workout on the elliptical.
My lunch was super boring and was simply a veggie burger and some potato chips. ![]()
This afternoon I met up with my friend Keema to do day 2 of ChaLEAN Extreme. Today was definitely harder than day 1 but I have a feeling from the description I have read tomorrow will kick my bootie!
Anyway…here is the main point of my post. I know I have said a million times that I do not want the focus of this blog to be a weight loss blog. With that said Lew and I are really trying to lose weight. We have got the working out part down so now our focus is turning to food. It can’t be just about working out. We have to also be aware of what we are eating. So, Lew and I have decided to follow the “Fat Burning Food Guide” that comes with ChaLean extreme. I have looked over the whole guide this evening and I am actually very excited about it. The guide comes with 80 recipes to choose from and has breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks. I really do not consider this a diet plan. These meals are very realistic and I am hoping it won’t be to tough to follow. The hardest part will be over the next week. Tomorrow we are going to be visiting my family for a cookout and next week we will be in Nashville for part of the week. We are going to try our hardest to follow the plan as closely as possible. So, I will be carrying the guide in the diaper bag and consulting at all of our eating times. I am really hoping this will help us in our efforts to drop the pounds.
Have you ever followed a specific meal plan to lose weight? How did it go?

We pretty much eat what we wish. Susie has to watch a little more than me, but we both watch.Everything is good in moderation.
Burn Intervals…holy crap, it’s crazy intense, but one of my favorites!!! I am also following the food guide that accompanied the DVD’s. It’s not too hardcore, and some of the meals sound so delicious

Ash – I did the “flat belly diet” before we went to Mexico & followed it to the ‘t’ for 10 days & lost almost 4 lbs. Of course I gained most of it back with fruity, sugary drinks in Mexico! I’m going to get back on the diet hard core this week so that I can drop those 3-4 lbs. But I highly suggest the flat belly diet. It is about 1500 calories each day which is hard. Good luck!
