I hope everyone has had a happy Monday! We have had a pretty good Monday. Laundry and grocery shopping were on the agenda…a great way to start the week.
Breakfast this morning was a protein smoothie topped with a handful of Honey Bunches of Oats Cereal. (Not my favorite topping, I am excited about trying out a new granola I bought in the morning.)
The smoothie included
-Skim Milk
-Frozen Banana
-Frozen Strawberries
-Vanilla Protein Powder
After breakfast Lew and I packed up the babies and went for what we thought was going to be a 3 mile run. It turned out to be a 3 mile walk b/c the jogging stroller has two wheels going flat. (and it makes running super hard.)
We came home, put our babies down to nap and I made rice and stir fried veggies and tempeh for lunch. I was out of teryaki so I cooked my veggies and tempeh in a little reduced sodium soy sauce and
sesame oil. I love tempeh (a soy protein product) and was so sad today when I went grocery shopping and my local ingles quit selling it.
When we first moved to the Greeneville area we requested Ingles to get tempeh and they did but I guess I was the only person who bought it because they no longer sale it
I guess that means I will have to go to Earth Fare more often.
After lunch I enjoyed my 16 dark chocolate chips
After feeding babies, cleaning the kitchen a few times and lots of laundry I already felt like I was starving! So I made myself a yummy snack.
-One slice of Nature’s Own double fiber whole wheat bread topped with hummus, broccoli slaw, and a little feta cheese.
After feeding the babies again Lew and I took them to the grocery store! (Always an adventure!) Our fridge was beginning to look empty and sad but now it is full and happy!
