Today has been a long day! I am ready for a day off. Hopefully the first weekend in March we will have a little break. I am thinking Tuesday might be an easy day
. Anyhow, today started off with coffee and relaxing. I had two mini pumpkin muffins topped with a little peanut butter for breakfast because I knew the rest of the day was going to equal a lot of food!
For lunch we visited with some church members over an authentic German meal. Crystl who is from Germany made a wonderful spread of food and we ate and had a great visit.
I am not going to try to explain what we had but this is a pork German schnitzel and it was delicious!
After lunch we went home and had some nap/rest time to get ready for our next food event for the day. After my nap I woke up with an upset stomach and feeling sluggish so I made myself a simple green smoothie and loved every sip!
- Almond milk
- frozen banana
- small spoonful of peanut butter
- big handful of fresh spinach
This was exactly what I needed! After my quick snack we packed up to head to the sweetheart dinner at church. I mostly just fed and wrestled with babies all evening but had a good time. Lew and I were still full from our lunch and ended up just sharing a plate of baked chicken with some veggies. I also ate a small slice of cherry yum yum pie.
My favorite part of the evening was seeing this.
Sweethearts
I was chatting with my friend Keema while Robin was holding Daisy. The next thing we saw was Keema’s baby boy Julian reaching for Robin to sit with Daisy! They are little sweethearts
Doesn’t he look happy to be sitting with Daisy!
